✨Top Tips for Disneyland ✨

Disneyland is a place of wonder and escape from everyday life. There’s so much to do and see the options are endless. Here are some of our top tips for your first time going to Disney Land

We recommend staying at least 2 nights but preferably 3 to have time to cover everything without rushing around. The experience of Disney would not be the same without staying in one of the Disney hotels.

  • 2* Santa Fe Hotel – Santa Fe theme

  • 2* Cheyenne Hotel – Wild West theme

  • 3* Sequoia Lodge – Cosy Mountain Retreat theme

  • 4* New York hotel – The Art of Marvel theme

  • 4* Newport Bay Club – Seaside theme

  • 5* Disneyland Hotel – Victorian theme

All the hotels are within walking distance to the park but also offer a free shuttle transfer if you don’t feel like walking. They also give you special access to extra time in the park each day, and if you don’t feel like carrying around the bits you buy in the shop then no worries, the shops offer free delivery to these hotels as well.

Plan out the rides that you want to go on! – queues can be quite long so it’s important you prioritise the ones you want to go on.

Fast passes are available for some rides and while they are an extra charge, we think they are worth it as you get to save a lot of time.

Bring snacks – it can be a long day at Disneyland, it’s important to have snacks to keep you going in between meals and for when you’re in a queue for an hour.

Bring a power bank – so many pictures to take and put up on Instagram, so we recommend bringing a power bank to make sure your phone lasts all day long.

Get the Disneyland app! - It lets you check the wait times for the rides, plan ahead with mobile order to purchase food at select locations with contactless payment, join virtual queue, view maps and much more with the official Disney app made specifically for the resort.

See Restaurant Menus – With over 50 restaurants to choose from, the app lets you see the menus and therefore you can choose the restaurant that best suits your tastes.

Some of the best restaurants in Disneyland

  • Annette’s Diner – American Diner theme

  • Au Chalet de la Marionnette - Alpine Village-theme

  • Auberge de Cendrillon – Cinderella theme

  • Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon – Western Saloon theme

  • Cable Car Bake Shop - Old-Time San Francisco

  • Café Fantasia – Elegance and Calm theme

Make Dining Reservations – There are so many restaurants to eat at, but these can be very busy at peak times.

The app also has a map so you can easily navigate around the park and locate your favourite characters. The characters are constantly changing where they are. With this app you can see where they are going to be and when.
