Visiting Santa in Lapland

Here are our tips for an unforgettable

a holiday to Lapland for the whole family!

Bringing your family to Lapland is truly an amazing experience, in the run-up to Christmas. A once in a lifetime experience, that will stay in the hearts & minds of your children forever. Planning a trip to Lapland, especially around the busy festive season, can be stressful, that’s why we’ve put together a guide for you, to plan your perfect family getaway! From pricing & packaging, to what to pack, to a day-to-day itinerary, we have you covered for your magical Lapland Holiday!

Before you go

Firstly, you’ll have to decide which package you want to get. We have 4 different packages, to suit every family, from 4-day trips to 1-day adventure trips! Each package runs on a different itinerary; however, most activities are the same on each one.

For more details about our packages & pricing, check out our Lapland Holidays.

Once you have decided which package you want to choose, it’s time to start packing! Luckily, with all our packages thermal snowsuits & boots are included for each family member. However, we do recommend packing some extra items such as thermal gloves, ski socks & a warm hat! Plus, things such as a refillable water bottle & snacks! We have made out a printable list for you to use as a checklist when packing!

Once that is all done & dusted, all you’ll have to worry about is how to tell/surprise the kids with this once in a lifetime holiday to meet Santa!

Your Trip

Your adventure begins, with an early morning flight to Lapland. Although it is an early start, you’ll soon be filled with energy & excited as your kids see ‘North Pole’ flash up on the departures list! While waiting at the check-in desk & at the gate, the kids will be entertained by ‘Santa’s Helpers’ who will hand out goodie bags filled with coloring books, selection boxes & reindeer ears. Once on the plane, the fun really begins, with every person on-board (including flight attendants & the pilot) getting involved in the festive fun! Singalongs are blasted through the intercom, learning dances is the aisles & snow spotting all the way through the 3-hour flight, only breaking for food! This child-focus flight will completely set the tone for the rest of your holiday!

Once you have landed in Rovaniemi aka the official home of Santa Claus, you’ll be brought to get suited & booted for the adventure-filled days! You’ll check into your cozy accommodation & from there the fun begins!
